Hola Angels,
As a young boy growing up in the South Bronx, I thought it was impossible that I would one day be a writer. I thought it would forever be my guilty pleasure, especially since none of the authors we read in school had a surname like mine. When my guidance counselor expressed to me that I was a gifted writer, it transformed what I believed was possible for myself. This is why organizations like the Lambda Literary Foundation are invaluable. I am starting the next chapter of my life: my first book will be released April 2015, and I was recently selected to attend the 2014 LLF Retreat for Emerging Writers!
I have been offered a scholarship that covers tuition for the residency. Pretty awesome, huh? The scholarship, however, does not cover lodging. This is where you (my favorite person in the whole wide world) can make a tax-deductible donation and make a writer’s dream come true.
